i was reading "Keeping Faith" by jodi picoult. it's a nice book btw. :)
gist: a 7 year old non-practicing jewish girl starts seeing and talking to God and performing miracles. later on, she recieves wounds on her hands like those of Jesus Christ's, what priests would call stigmata. it is because of this that a lot of Catholics flock to her home, asking to see her, talk to her and possibly even touch her. but the thing is, the God she sees is female. A rabbi (because she is jewish) and a priest (because of the Catholics) debates on CNN whether a female God is possible.
